We were so excited to connect with Jessica! She is the local business owner in Salem, Oregon of The Hook Nook, specializing in womenswear design for cowls, scarves, and tops. Basically you name it, she has made it! Jessica pushes the boundaries of what typical crochet and knitwear has been, and is creating something so refreshing! We love her mission- to make crochet cool again, and initiate a community that can be proud of what they are creating!
Jessica’s main inspiration for this shoot was simply trying to explain who “Jessica” is and how she hoped to aesthetically capture The Hook Nook for 2017.
“For the last few years, I’ve grown a lot in my interests and goals. This year I want to really showcase how crochet and fiber arts can be more than just a “craft”. It can be beautiful, stunning and even sexy. Some of my favorite pieces were definitely the Plump & Co 1-ply felted yarn in Plum scarf and the top made with Love Fest Fibers Pure Love Alpaca in Night Sky (hands down the MOST unique fiber I’ve ever worked with, what an experience!).”
