We had such a sweet time photographing our parents near Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City! They have not had pictures taken since their wedding day, so its been almost 37 years! Holy cow!

This is what love looks like! Here is to our parents, our heroes, some of our best friends, and greatest cheerleaders! We cant wait to be like them when we grow up!

Seven Days of Portraits: Day 1 {salem, oregon portrait photographer} by Emily Cook

Hi Hi!!
We thought it would be super fun to do seven days of portraits on our blog! Each day, we will showcase one of our favorite portraits, & tell you why we love it!

To kick off day 1, a portrait of our very own, Sarah Bond. This photo was taken at dusk in Terrebonne, Oregon. Sarah, her husband Ben, and myself made a drive to one of our favorite adventure locations, Smith Rock State Park for their one year anniversary shoot! If you haven't taken the trip before, please do! It makes for such a great day trip!

I chose this photo for our first favorite portrait, because of how warm the colors are as the sun was falling, and how perfectly tousled Sarah's hair was after a few hours shooting in the wind! There is adventure and love in her eyes, and just looking at this photo takes me right back to the base of Smith Rock.

Cory + Bekah. {illinois wedding photographer} by Emily Cook

Cory & Bekah. This wedding was a reminder once again as to why we love photography for work and for play. It is self-expression, communication, and celebration of others. There is something so incredible about being able to freeze a moment in time, knowing that one day you can look back at that time, and feel whatever emotion you were feeling in that moment.

So many people truly value photographs, yet don't hire a photographer because they don't want to be in a situation that feels totally uncomfortable or unnatural. Yet being able to bring out the best in others, and capture them in a way that is true to who they are is one of the great privileges of what we do! Not only do we hope to provide our clients and new found friends photographs that they can treasure over a lifetime, but we get to connect with each other, and create a space for creativity and beauty!

Thank you, thank you to Bekah & Cory for allowing us to be a part of your most beautiful day! Your love for each other was astounding to witness! & here is to happily ever after!
